But the specific impact of decaf coffee on liver function is difficult to establish.
Many studies measure liver function using laboratory animals that do not normally consume coffee. The reduced caffeine content can actually be beneficial if you have a caffeine addiction, since caffeine is a stimulant and can keep you awake and alert. It also contains small amounts of other antioxidants and minerals, which are good for your health in general. However, decaf coffee is not as beneficial if you like the taste of caffeinated coffee as you like to keep up with the jitters that people get when they consume large amounts of caffeine.
